The performance of Challenge Sailcloth Ultra starts with the yarn that's used to weave it - UHMWPE.

Unlike all other generally available material options to date, Ultra combines a UHMWPE woven face with a laminated film backing to produce a fabric that has:

• Extremely high tear and tensile strength

• Maximal cut, abrasion, and wear resistance

• Super high and long term waterproofing

Challenge Ultra 200 is a laminate fabric comprised of the following layers: 

- 200D UHMWPE/polyester plain woven face

- 0.5 mil Recycled PET film backing

The Gray Whale seat bag 8.5L is a dry bag that opens on one end.

What to expect: Velcro to the mouth of the bag to add in packing and unpacking the bag.

What to expect: Off set pull tabs to break the seal of the velcro for fast deployment.

What to expect: Loops at the base of the bag to make it easier to pull your essentials from the bottom of the bag. All of these features are to make packing and unpacking the Gray Whale 8.5 L fast and easy.

The Main body is made of Challenge Sailcloth 200 Waterproof with Taped seam sealed construction.

Bear in mind that the Challenge Sailcloth 200 Ultra fabric is not rated for constant abrasion like moving brake levers and gear shifters.
